About Me

Professional Qualifications

I have completed my training in Transactional Analysis at the Metanoia Institute. I have been working with clients since 1999. I am a Member of the British Assocation for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their code of Ethics. I undertake regular supervision as an integral part of my practice.

Areas of Specialism

I specialise in working with clients who have relationship difficulties, these may be issues with break up of a relationship, tensions within a relationship, parenting issues or communication problems.

I worked for six years at the York clinic in Guys hospital which specialises in Sexual and Relationship problems.
I worked with clients who are experiencing sexual difficulties such as loss of libido, vaginismus, erectile dysfunction and relationship problems.

I currently work in the NHS in East London providing psychological therapy for people suffering from Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attack and Phobia using a Cognitive Behavioural based approach .

I provide culturally sensitive counselling for clients with race and identity issues and issues of oppression.

I have worked with clients with work related problems such as stress, bullying at work, work related performance, anxiety and low self esteem and depression.

Personal Approach

I use a range of approaches to suit individual clients needs.

I believe that it is the quality of the relationship between the client and counsellor that best determines a positive outcome for the client.

A good relationship is built of trust, mutual respect, committment, integrity, honesty and a good rapport.

I aim to bring all these qualities into my work with clients.

My clients individuality is respected at all times. This includes their race, culture, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation and lifestyle choices.

My aim is to work with my client towards a mutually defined goal where both counseller and client are equal and active participants in the therapeutic relationship.
