Working Together

Will you tell me what to do or give me advice?

The counselling process is one of empowerment for the client. The sessions help you to reflect on the issues you bring. To understand and clarify them and make the decisions which are best for you. My job is to assist you in this process.

Relationship Counselling

Relationship counselling may involve couples practising techniques as part of their therapy. These may take place in between sessions and are discussed and agreed as part of the counselling process.

How often would I need to Attend?

The Choice is Yours

Counselling may last for a limited time i.e. over a period of weeks.
You may benefit from counselling over a longer period of time.

This will depend on your particular circumstances, for example the issues you may bring, the financial and emotional commitment you are able to make, your motivation to make changes.

These issues would be discussed and agreed with you and also reviewed throughout your counselling.

Is Counselling Confidential?

Yes.

All personal information disclosed to a counsellor is confidential. There are exceptional circumstances where confidentiality would be broken and a client's agreement would be sought in these circumstances

How much does it Cost?

My current fees for individuals are between £40 and £50 per session and £52 and £60 for couples.

I have day time and evening appointments available, as well as saturday appointments.
.

How do I Contact You?

The first step is to contact me by telephone or Email.

Your call and mail are confidential and accessed only by myself. If I am unable to answer your call immediately, please leave a message including your name and telephone no. and instructions as to when it would be convenient for me to return your call.

I will respond to your call as soon as possible.

If you decide after contacting me you would like to meet for an initial assessment we would arrange this at a mutually agreed time.

What Happens When Me Meet?

The initial assessment gives both of us the opportunity to meet to discuss your issues in confidence with no obligation.

This meeting will help to determine whether you feel counselling would benefit you and if we would feel comfortable working together.

After this meeting if we decide to work together, we would then agree a time to meet weekly and further details will be taken.
